PHYSALIS

All Physalis fruits come gift-wrapped. The fruit is related to tomatoes. The small orange-gold berries are encased in papery beige husk, similar to a chinese lantern. The fruit is about the size of a cherry , yellow-green or orange with a thin waxy skin and its juicy pulp contains many small seeds. They make the most delicious-tasty jams, jellies and juices.
