The melon shaped golden beautiful fruit marked with purple stripes is relative of tomato, potato family. Native to Peru, the pepino flesh is quite tart. The sweet seeds of the fruit are edible. This fruit is rich in vitamin C and can be served like melon or with vanilla ice-cream.
